We are one of the fastest-growing startups in travel, backed by two leading VCs (TQ Ventures &amp; Lightrock), and now, following our recent $80m Series C funding, we are ready to push beyond.<br /></p><p><strong>The opportunity</strong><br />We are searching for a <strong>Staff / Senior Software Engineer </strong>to join our <a rel="noopener" target="_blank" href="https://careers.distribusion.com/tech-product-teams#list-dc654cac">Search team</a>. The role entails contributing to the product &amp; technical domains of excellence in the main API product that enables large retailers to seamlessly purchase tickets from bus &amp; rail carriers worldwide. The team enables a booking system that includes booking orchestration, invoicing, ticketing, and more.<br /></p><p><strong>What you will do:</strong></p><ul><li><p>Work on a technically complex Search Engine. </p></li><li><p>Deliver high-quality Elixir, Ruby and Golang code for new carrier &amp; retailer integrations.</p></li><li><p>Manage and orchestrate a large number of microservices.</p></li><li><p>Maintain existing Elixir and Ruby code.</p></li><li><p>Improve test coverage and quality of deliverables.</p></li><li><p>Contribute to system architectural decisions within the team.</p></li><li><p>Contribute to the development of internal tools and libraries.</p></li><li><p>Mentoring and guiding junior team members.</p></li></ul><p style=";"></p><p><strong>Workplace: </strong>Berlin </p><p>We are a remote-first company with teams located around the Globe and a HQ in Berlin. </p><br /><br /><p><strong>Who you are:</strong></p><ul><li><p>7+ years of software engineering experience with a minimum of 3+ years of professional experience working with Golang. </p></li><li><p>Experience with high-throughput and low-latency services.</p></li><li><p>Experience with Elasticsearch.</p></li><li><p>Experience with test-driven development.</p></li><li><p>Deep understanding of distributed systems principles.</p></li><li><p>Experience working with microservices and/or service-oriented architecture.</p></li><li><p>Experience creating and maintaining CI/CD pipelines.</p></li><li><p>Good understanding of Kubernetes from a software engineering perspective.</p></li><li><p>Experience working with public cloud providers (GCP is preferred).</p></li><li><p>Good understanding of relational and non-relational database principles.</p></li><li><
