Automation Engineer (m/w/d, FT)
Finton Advisors by EFPINAI GmbH
Descrição da vaga

Finton builds AI-powered FP&A software and services for investor-backed companies. Our platform brings together financial reporting, KPI dashboards, data analysis, and centralized data access in one scalable solution. Combined with AI-driven workflows and hands-on support from experienced finance professionals, we help ambitious businesses gain a clear, reliable view of their performance and make better decisions faster.

At the core of our work is software we've developed ourselves. It enables data-driven finance teams to spend less time on manual processes and more time generating insights. The same technology powers our own operations and helps our customers automate reporting, improve transparency, and create a single source of truth for their financial data.

Because we work closely with private equity-backed companies, we're often involved in high-impact situations such as acquisitions, fundraising processes, refinancing projects, and strategic growth initiatives. This gives our team unique exposure to both technology and corporate finance in a fast-moving environment.

Since founding the company in December 2023, we've grown to support more than 30 clients with a lean, highly capable team. As we continue to scale, we're building our team in Cologne and looking for people who want to help shape the next generation of finance technology.

Aufgaben

You own the technical health of day-to-day operations, from the annoying one-off to the system that prevents a whole class of them.

Solve daily technical problems for the operations team: Be the person they come to with a stuck data load, a broken export, or a "can we automate this?"

Build automations: Turn recurring manual processes into durable Temporal workflows: data ingestion, reconciliation, reporting, internal tooling.

Work with data: Write SQL and Python to investigate issues, validate pipelines, and produce the numbers and checks operations relies on.

Build what the team needs: Work with operations to add features to the Finton app and internal tools that make their lives easier.

Qualifikation

We hire pragmatic builders who would rather automate a problem once than handle it ten times. Experience level matters less than the evidence of what you've shipped andside projects absolutely count.

You'll stand out if you:

Reach for automation by default: When you see a repeated manual step, your instinct is to script it, schedule it, or wrap it in a workflow.

Are comfortable in SQL and Python: You can pull the data, reshape it, and reason about what it's telling you.

Think in durable workflows: You understand (or are eager to learn) how to model long-running, multi-step processes that survive failure and retries.

Debug with patience: You isolate variables, read logs and error messages, and don't stop at the first symptom.

Communicate clearl
