<p><strong>Location: Barbados</strong></p><p><strong>Working Hours: 7:30am-4:30pm</strong></p><p><strong>Department: Operations</strong></p><p><strong>Environment: Office</strong></p><p><strong>Type of Employment: Permanent</strong></p><p><br></p><p><br></p><p><strong>The Ideal Candidate</strong></p><p><br></p><p>The Digital Solutions Specialist supports the improvement of Newport Water’s day-to-day</p><p>operations by helping analyze, refine, and implement more efficient business processes across</p><p>departments, using business applications, automation, and digital tools.</p><p>Working closely with the Operations Team Leader and department teams, this role focuses on</p><p>practical, hands-on process improvements - identifying inefficiencies, documenting and</p><p>simplifying workflows, and implementing solutions that reduce manual work, improve visibility,</p><p>and support lean, scalable operations.</p><p><br></p><p>The role combines business process awareness with digital execution capability, grounded in Lean</p><p>thinking and continuous improvement. The emphasis is on steady, incremental progress (getting</p><p>1% better every day) rather than large-scale transformation initiatives.</p><p><br></p><p>This is a collaborative and execution-focused role, contributing to process and system</p><p>improvements while working alongside internal stakeholders and external technical partners</p><p>where required.</p><p><br></p><p><strong>Key Responsibilities</strong></p><p><br></p><p><strong>Business Process Optimization (Lean-Focused)</strong></p><ul><li>Build a working understanding of Newport Water’s operations and key workflows</li><li>Support teams across Sales, Operations, Finance, and Service in reviewing and improving processes</li><li>Identify inefficiencies, bottlenecks, and sources of waste in day-to-day activities</li><li>Assist in redesigning workflows to improve efficiency, consistency, and client experience</li><li>Apply Lean thinking to simplify processes and reduce unnecessary steps</li><li>Contribute to a culture of continuous improvement through small, practical changes</li></ul><p><br></p><p><strong>Requirements Gathering &amp; Process Mapping</strong></p><ul><li>Work with team members to understand current processes and challenges</li><li>Help identify required data inputs, outputs, and dependencies</li><li>Document current-state and future-state workflows in a clear and practical way</li><li>Support the translation of business needs into structured solution requirements</li></ul><p><br></p><p><strong>Digital Solutions, Automation &amp; AI</strong></p><ul><li>Configure and improve solutions within ERP, CRM, and other business applications</li><li>(including Zoho One)</li><li> Build and maintain automations that reduce manual work and improve accuracy</li><li>Support integration between systems (ERP, CRM, website, e-commerce, etc.)</li><li>Ensure solutions align with agreed process improvements</li><li>Work with external spec
